UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) has released its holiday guide to help consumers make educated decisions to reduce danger risks when cooking, gifting, decorating, and traveling this season.
The guide takes a closer look at consumers’ favorite gifts. Of the nearly three-quarters of Americans who said they plan to purchase gifts this season, 83 percent anticipate buying some type of battery powered gift. ULSE’s study reveals the top gift items include electronic toys, wireless or Bluetooth headphones, small kitchen appliances, personal care products, smartphones, and tablets. To that end, ULSE also offers safety advice, noting expert guidance on Lithium-Ion batteries and standards that keep holidays safer.
“From the standards that protect your products, to the safety tips that will help you avoid injury, we are leveraging more than a century of safety expertise to make the holiday season one to remember—for all the right reasons,” the organization reported.
