  • The ANSI Committee on Education oversees all Institute initiatives related to standards and conformity assessment education and outreach, including implementation of the education-related aspects of Strategic Initiative 10 of the United States Standards Strategy (USSS). The committee is working with the entire standards and conformity assessment community to introduce the importance of standards to the academic community and to the public at large.

  • ANSI serves as your ally in navigating standards and conformance issues, both domestically and internationally, maneuvering through national and regional agencies, and overcoming market-access challenges.
  • Public-Private Partnership
    • Members shape ANSI’s messaging as the single national voice in coordinated outreach to public policy leaders, U.S and international government agencies, and non-government organizations regarding standardization worldwide.
  • Participation in oversight committees provides members a powerful seat at the policy-setting table to address issues affecting the U.S. standardization system and its stakeholders nationally and internationally.

    • National Policy Advisory Group (NPAG)
      Provides views and proposes policies regarding national standards and conformity assessment issues, including related public policy issues.
    • Intellectual Property Rights Policy Committee (IPRPAG)
      Provides views and proposes policies regarding the incorporation of essential patents or other proprietary intellectual property (such as trademarks and copyright) in national, regional or international standards and also provides views and proposes policies regarding exploitation rights to the copyright in standards and the recognition of copyright protection for standards by courts, legislation, regulatory bodies, industry and others.
    • The International Policy Advisory Group (IPAG)
      Provides views and proposes policies regarding regional and international standards and conformity assessment issues, including related public policy issues
  • Work with ANSI members to create standardization-related outreach programs to legislators and to increase understanding of the private-sector standards community among agencies involved in trade and commerce issues
  • Ability to administer a delegated international Secretariat or U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG)
  • Being an ANSI member is good for business: being associated with a recognized established standards-overseeing organization
