Key Achievements across ANSI, Workcred, and the ANSI National Accreditation Board

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has released its 2025 Impact Report, showcasing significant achievements that reinforce America’s vital position in the global standards ecosystem under new leadership.

The virtual report highlights the outcomes of key 2025 activities from ANSI and its affiliates, Workcred and the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), including:

  • New Standards Leadership amid Change: Laurie E. Locascio, Ph.D., NAE, became ANSI president and CEO during a period of significant technological and geopolitical transformation.

     

  • Strengthening Strategic Vision: Development of the United States Standards Strategy 2025, establishing four objectives to strengthen U.S. competitiveness in emerging technologies and international markets. An official launch is planned for January 2026.

     

  • Robust Global Leadership: Continuation of U.S. leadership of ISO/IEC Joint Technical Committee 1 (JTC 1), alongside expanded strategic partnerships and the launch of the ISO-IEC Online Standards Development hub.

     

  • Progress in Workforce Development: Workcred’s advancement of certification integration into associate degrees and microcredentials into undergraduate curricula, connecting education with industry workforce requirements.

     

  • Digital Transformation: ANAB’s launch of its Digital Technology Initiative and AI Task Force, and expansion of its AI systems accreditation scope.
