Register Now for November 4-8 Celebration in Washington, DC

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has announced the schedule of events for World Standards Week (WSW) 2019, which will be celebrated November 4-8, 2019, in Washington, DC. A premier annual gathering, WSW brings together ANSI members and diverse private- and public-sector stakeholders from across the standards and conformity assessment communities for topical discussions and special events in the spirit of cooperation and collaboration.

This year's schedule includes meetings and events designed to inspire open dialogue about standardization, conformity assessment, and workforce development priorities. In addition to ANSI member forum and policy committee meetings, the week's highlights include:

  • Conference: Building an Effective Workforce for the Future
  • ANSI Legal Issues Forum: Hazy Days: Making Sense of Regulation and Standardization for the Cannabis Industry
  • Annual ANSI Awards Banquet (Nominations now open!)
  • ANSI-NIST University Grant Awardee Symposium
  • Retailers Roundtable
  • Member Orientation Breakfast

Registration for all WSW 2019 events is now open, and more information can be found at www.ansi.org/wsweek. Further details and agendas will be posted as they are confirmed.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available at a variety of levels for companies and organizations who wish to demonstrate their support for the voluntary standardization community.

In conjunction with WSW, the 2019 U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day on Thursday, November 7, will commemorate the critical role of voluntary standards and conformity assessment in driving innovation across every sector. The event is co-chaired each year by ANSI and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the American Petroleum Institute (API) serves as the 2019 administrating organization in celebration of its "100 Years of American Energy Innovation." Separate registration and sponsorship opportunities for the U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day are available at www.wsd-us.org.
