People on the Move

1/07/2022

People on the Move highlights the career advancements of high-level trailblazers working professionally in diverse areas of standardization, contributing every day to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance community.

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) has announced that Linda Moy will become the new editor of its journal Radiology. She will assume the position in January 2023 as the first woman to be named editor of the publication.

Dr. Moy is a national and international leader in breast imaging, MRI, and artificial intelligence. She is a professor of radiology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, with additional appointments at the NYU Center for Advanced Imaging Innovation and Research and the NYU Vilcek Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Moy serves as director of breast MRI (clinical and research) throughout the NYU Health Network. She has 20 years of experience using cutting-edge functional MRI applications in breast MRI, oncological MRI, and PET/MRI, and leads a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded multidisciplinary team that identifies imaging biomarkers associated with tumor biology on 3T and 7T magnets. Dr. Moy was Radiology’s deputy editor for breast imaging in 2017, and senior deputy editor of the publication in 2019.

“Dr. Moy has achieved widespread recognition in academic radiology as an accomplished investigator, author, and editor. Given her extensive editorial experience, including serving as senior deputy editor of Radiology for the past 3 years, she is the ideal individual to lead RSNA’s flagship journal into the future,” said Jeffrey S. Klein, RSNA Board liaison for publications and communications.

The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) has appointed Aaron Blom as its technical training specialist. In this new role, Mr. Blom will conduct and develop FGIA’s professional education and technical training programs.

Prior to joining FGIA, Mr. Blom was director of preconstruction for Architectural Preconstruction, LLC. He is experienced in the commercial industry, previously serving as southwest sales representative for major projects. Mr. Blom was also an outside sales representative for Oldcastle Building Envelope.

“Aaron’s strengths as an industrial engineer, a skilled trainer, versatile communicator, and a commercial industry sales representative will serve him well and directly align with the needs for this important new position,” said Kathy Krafka Harkema, FGIA U.S. technical operations director. “Due to the continued growth of our education initiatives, we look forward to training and inspiring even more people thanks to Aaron’s enthusiastic, dedicated training expertise and outreach.”
