ANSI Releases Winter 2025 ANSI in China Newsletter

The American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) international policy department has released the Winter 2025 ANSI in China Newsletter, available in English and Chinese.

The quarterly newsletter updates ANSI members on technical activities, policy decisions, trade matters, and other information of interest. The English version of the newsletter is available exclusively to ANSI members and the Chinese version is available online for all interested stakeholders.

Headlines from the English version of the Winter 2025 edition include:

  • Deng Zhiyong Appointed as the New SAMR Vice Minister and SAC Administrator
  • Draft Requirement for the Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products
  • Draft Standards with Preferential Treatment for domestic Products in Government Procurement
  • MIIT Establishes its First Technical Committee on AI Standardization
  • SAC Establishes National Technical Committee on Data Standardization
  • SAMR to Implement CCC Certification for Electric Vehicle Power Supply Equipment

The ANSI in China Newsletter in English contains content for a U.S.-based audience. The debut edition of the English version, first published in 2015, is publicly available, while all subsequent editions are available to ANSI members only. The Chinese edition has content intended for a China-based audience, including ANSI members and partner organizations. Past issues are available here.
