Global Standardization: Enhancing U.S. Industry Leadership and Engagement Conference: March 24-25

This new conference cuts straight to the questions shaping America's competitiveness: How do we lead in international standards? What does that leadership mean in practice — and for emerging technologies?

Highlights on the agenda include:

  • A fireside chat with ANSI president and CEO Dr. Laurie E. Locascio and CSIS’s Navin Girishankar
  • Day one keynote on the facts (and myths) of U.S. standards leadership from Joel Orban of Corning
  • Day two keynote on strategic international standards engagement and keys for success from James M. Shannon, chair of the UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) Board of Directors
  • Expert panels on emerging technologies, engagement, and U.S. leadership, featuring voices from AT&T, HP Federal, Microsoft, NIST, the U.S. DOE, and more
  • An interactive session with ANSI Board leaders to map out what comes next
  • Breakout sessions on topics related to global standardization activities, including networking, young professionals, and engaging international counterparts

The event will be held in person at the Kimpton Miralina Resort and Villas. Registration is required.

ANSI Company Member Forum: March 24

If your company participates in standards work (or wants to), the CMF offers a structured opportunity to exchange insights, surface shared challenges, and identify what’s needed to strengthen engagement. Through live polling, facilitated discussions, and Q&A, you’ll dig into what’s working, what’s not, and what tools companies actually need — with industry peers and expert speakers from Boeing, HP, Corning, and more. View the agenda and register for in-person or virtual participation.

The CMF will be held immediately prior to the Global Standardization conference. It is open to representatives from all ANSI membership categories, as well as registered attendees of the conference. For questions about CMF participation, contact Sharon Okello at [email protected].
