SAE International will host a webinar that will detail the ongoing engineering efforts to keep combustion engines operating efficiently and reliably for the next two decades and beyond.

SAE reports that manufacturers leading sustainability efforts and electrifying commercial trucks and off-highway machines plan to include internal combustion engines (ICE) in their future product plans. Diesel development continues, while alternative low- and zero-carbon fuels—renewable diesel, CNG/RNG, and hydrogen—gain momentum to meet stricter emissions regulations. Hybridization can extend ICE relevance, and is growing in favor for certain commercial and off-highway vehicle applications.
