The Below the Hospitalpodcast episode features Scott Eddy, who shares his wealth of knowledge on career navigation, how sterile processing has changed, and the importance of keeping an eye on patient safety based on his years of experience.

In conversation with Garland-Rhea Grisby Sr., he described teamwork and continuing education as vital to career success, as well as engagement from leadership: “I think that does wonders for staff, by building camaraderie and rapport.” This can be as simple as leadership making an effort to “get to know the people in sterile processing and finding out what they do,” he noted.
