As part of its ongoing podcast, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has launched a two-part series looking at how artificial intelligence technologies could impact fire and life safety.

The episode, featuring Preet Bassi, CEO of the Center for Public Safety Excellence, examines AI’s potential impact on the fire service, assessing how fire departments might use AI, and covering the potential dangers associated with the practice. The broadcast also looks at the guardrails that need to be in place to assure that AI is reliable and safe, and Bassi will share why she’s skeptical that AI will ever replace human decision makers on the fireground.
