The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) will host a webinar exploring safety climate and psychological safety as key factors influencing reporting behaviors and organizational learning.

The session will cover common reasons for underreporting, approaches to assessing safety climate, and strategies for encouraging open reporting. ASSP will also highlight how near-miss information can support learning and risk awareness when used as a leading indicator.

Drawing on research and examples from high-hazard and contractor management environments, the webinar will address shifting from compliance-focused metrics toward trust, visibility, and proactive safety improvement.
