The ASCET Center of Excellence has launched an Information and Data Sharing Hub designed to strengthen U.S. leadership in critical and emerging technology (CET) standardization.
ASCET is a cooperative agreement between the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) and ASTM International aimed at supporting private sector-driven engagement and capacity building in the development and use of international standards. ANSI is an implementing partner of ASCET, along with ASME, the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) Robotics, CSA Group, IEEE, and UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE).
The searchable library includes conformity assessment information, technology and standards roadmaps, and curated repositories of relevant standards and reference materials, among other initial resources. Content focuses on four priority CET areas: artificial intelligence, biotechnology, quantum technology, and semiconductors and microelectronics.
Intended users include industry, standards development organizations, policymakers, researchers, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
