Join ANSI’s January Webinar: How Can Consumers Contribute to Standards Development?

1/09/2026

Greater involvement in standards setting from individual consumers is critical to improving the safety of products that we all rely on, every day—from the appliances in our kitchens to the cars we drive. Find out about how consumers can shape the safety standards that protect us all during the American National Standards Institute's (ANSI) free Consumer Safety Central Webinar on January 29, 2026, at 3:00-4:00 p.m. ET.

The webinar is part of a series of Consumer Safety Central webinars held by ANSI to bring awareness to the importance of standards development, featuring ANSI consumer outreach manager Cleo Stamatos with special guests from the standards community participating.

Why attend? Participants will get insights on:

  • How standards impact our daily lives
  • Where consumer input is needed
  • Simple ways to get involved (You don’t have to be an expert—just a consumer who cares)

Register for the January Consumer Safety Central webinar, to be held via Zoom, on ANSI’s webinar page.

ANSI’s consumer webinars are relevant to consumers including:

  • Individual members of the general public purchasing or using property, products, or services for private purpose
  • Consumer studies and other related departments at universities
  • Consumer advocacy organizations active in consumer protection
  • Nonprofit public-interest organizations

Future webinars in the series will be scheduled throughout 2026. Check ANSI’s event page listings for registration links and more information on these sessions in the coming months.
