The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) will co-host the 2025 Korea-U.S. Standards Forum on Wednesday, December 3 (EST) / Thursday, December 4 (KST). Now in its fifth year, this annual forum serves as a valuable platform for leaders and subject matter experts from government, academia, and industry in both countries to strengthen mutual understanding, exchange expertise and best practices, and advance future cooperation.
This year, the forum will be hybrid, with in-person attendance at the Shilla Seoul hotel in Korea. It will take place directly after the International AI Standards Summit organized by ISO, IEC, and ITU (December 2–3), held at the same venue.
As in previous years, the forum will convene senior government officials and executives from Korea's leading companies, creating a premier platform for speakers and attendees to showcase their standards expertise, products, services, and best practices while building strategic partnerships with Korean counterparts.
ANSI encourages technical experts from its membership to join the event in person and share insights on standards development, technology trends, and market demands, while exploring opportunities for collaboration between the U.S. and South Korea.
This year’s forum will feature technical presentations and breakout sessions on the following strategic areas:
Members interested in joining the ANSI delegation or speaking at the event should contact Laiyin Yuan ([email protected]) and Joseph Conrad ([email protected]) for more details as soon as possible, but no later than November 7, 2025. Registration for attendees will open in early November.
