Registration is now open for upcoming meetings of ANSI’s Company Member Forum (CMF), Consumer Interest Forum (CIF), and Joint Organizational Member Forum (OMF) and Government Member Forum (GMF).

Company Member Forum

ANSI’s Company Member Forum will include virtual sessions on October 30, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET. Register for participation and view the draft agenda. All ANSI company members are welcome to attend.

This year, sessions will cover: the 2025 revision of the U.S. Standards Strategy, slated for publication in January 2026; the vital roles of industry members in the U.S. standardization system, both domestically and globally; and how to demonstrate the value of standards to C-suite and the workforce. Attendees will also hear a panel of experts discuss standards development in their industries, with a focus on open-source and SMART standards development.

Consumer Interest Forum

ANSI’s Consumer Interest Forum will be held on November 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET. In-person participation will take place at ANSI headquarters in Washington, DC; virtual participation is also available.

Among other topics, the forum will explore key U.S. consumer issues, with a session featuring Courtney Griffin of the Consumer Federation of America. Discussions will include key findings on consumer risks in online marketplaces; regulatory gaps and implications for U.S. standards; connection to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Committee on Consumer Policy (COPOLCO) ongoing study, Online marketplaces from the consumers’ perspective; and opportunities for the U.S. to prepare a New Work Item Proposal for COPOLCO consideration. Further sessions will explore consumer outreach activities, takeaways from the ANSI Innovation Summit, and calls for consumer participation in ISO activities.

Joint Organizational Member Forum / Government Member Forum

ANSI’s Organizational Member Forum and Government Member Forum will host a joint meeting on November 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET. In-person participation will take place in at the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) headquarters in Arlington, VA; virtual participation is also available. Register for participation and view the draft agenda. All ANSI members are welcome to attend.

Topics of discussion will include the current deregulatory landscape and implications for standards development; implementation and operationalization of the U.S. Standards Strategy; an update from ASTM and NIST on the Advancing Standards for Critical and Emerging Technologies (ASCET) initiative; digital standardization; AI-related issues affecting members during standards development; copyright piracy; and an update on the NIST AI Consortium.
