The ANSI Innovation Summit 2026: See What’s Next for Standards

4/21/2026

Draft agenda now live

What’s coming next in AI? In quantum? And how do the standards behind these technologies keep up? Explore these questions and more at the ANSI Innovation Summit 2026, July 28-31 in Denver.

This year’s Summit brings the standards community together in person to tackle the questions shaping the technologies of tomorrow—from the AI tools already changing how we work to the quantum breakthroughs on the horizon. Over four days, you’ll hear from the people building what’s next, share ideas across sectors, and help chart where standardization goes from here.

Summit Sessions: What’s on the Agenda

Tuesday, July 28

  • Standards at the Speed of Innovation: A Fireside Chat with Standards CEOs. Following a networking lunch, ANSI president and CEO Dr. Laurie E. Locascio sits down with CEOs of leading standards developing organizations for a candid conversation about keeping standards relevant in a moment of rapid technological change. Expect a frank look at what’s working, what isn’t, and what the U.S. Standards Strategy 2025 calls on the community to do next.
  • The Standards Lab: Testing New Development Approaches. An interactive session exploring how SDOs and consortia are putting AI, collaboration tools, and fast-track pathways to work—rethinking how standards get made for technologies that won’t wait. Closes with a networking reception.

Wednesday, July 29

  • Accelerating the Digital Economy through AI and Quantum
    • Morning: AI-Enabled Digital Solutions and Standards for What’s Happening Now. A deep dive into the standards landscape for AI, with a focus on trust, security, data integrity, and manufacturing use cases.
    • Afternoon: Quantum and the Digital Economy and Standards for the Future. From post-quantum cryptography migration to near-term manufacturing applications, we’ll ask whether standards development is keeping pace with the market.
  • 2026 ANSI Leadership and Service Awards. An evening celebration honoring this year’s standardization champions.

Thursday, July 30

  • ANSI Legal Issues Forum. How is AI reshaping standards licensing, and how can SDOs protect their intellectual property? A three-part discussion covers how SDOs are digitizing standards for AI use, how companies are building AI platforms that incorporate them, and how SDOs can safeguard their IP in AI licensing agreements.
  • Lunch and Annual Business Meeting. ANSI Board Chair Chris Dubay presents financial information, followed by closing remarks from Dr. Locascio.

Friday, July 31

  • 2026 U.S.–Korea Standards Forum, co-located with the Summit. Now in its sixth year, this event brings together U.S. and Korean government and industry leaders to share expertise and shape collaboration on some of today's most consequential technologies — from AI and quantum to biotechnology and the future of mobility.
