Who, What, and Why
Join ANSI consumer outreach manager Cleo Stamatos, along with special guests from the standards community, for a briefing on why standards development matters, what it is, and how you can participate.
Standards are working behind the scenes to improve our lives every day. Product standards aim to help reduce or prevent injuries, and they're developed by thousands of volunteers who are experts in their field—health professionals, engineers, designers, consumer advocates, injury victims and survivors, government employees at the federal, state, and local level, testing laboratory staff, academic researchers, lawyers, and others.
But greater involvement from individual consumers is critical to improving the safety of the products we all rely on every day. You don't have to be an expert—just a consumer who cares.
Your Experience Matters
Volunteer to share your experience and consumer knowledge. There's a whole world of opportunity in standardization that could benefit you and your family, and put your knowledge to great use in turn.
As part of this expanded outreach effort, the webinar will feature American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and has been promoted through disability advocacy organizations, including Paralyzed Veterans of America. Please note that the meeting will restrict AI note takers.
